Industry Specific ComplianceThe Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoH&UA) on July 03, 2026, issued the Chandigarh Real Estate (Regulation and Development) (General) Amendment Rules, 2026 to further amend the Chandigarh Real Estate (Regulation and Development) (General) Rules, 2016.

The following amendments have been stated:

• In rule 33, in sub-rule (1), in the Table, the following row shall be omitted, namely:- 

“Punishable with imprisonment under section 68. 

ten per cent. of the estimated cost of the plot, apartment or building, as the case may be.”
